As my family kicks off a welcome spring break, I sit here with a heart full of gratitude.

I am grateful this work found me at an early age.

I am grateful I was met with support from my own teachers and studio families on Day 1

I am grateful to be heading into my 30th (!) teaching year with a roster of studio families I absolutely adore. (not to mention an army of teacher friends around the world! 😘)

And - as Scott Hayden says in this quote - it truly is this convergence of loves that makes it all worth it. 🤍

Cheers to love for the music, love for the people, and bringing the two together so this legacy continues long past our own days on this earth. 🥂

Let’s talk SELF-IMPOSED DEADLINES….

Yes, it’s good to have goals. Consistency matters. Showing up is important.

That is ALL true.

And yet, sometimes you have to take a breath and realize the only thing tying you to a particular commitment is YOU. 🙃

I felt myself start to get panicky about getting today’s episode published, and then I remembered: THIS is the perk of being a Little Guy in the podcast world.

Absolutely nothing/no one suffers if I don’t publish an episode on Monday morning.

For this one week, I’ll be a Tuesday morning podcast. All will be well.

SO: to those who have messaged me today, worried you’ve missed something… episode 208 is just fashionably late this week.

(Sidenote: oh-how-lovely to know I am missed! Thanks to those who noticed my absence today. It’s good to know you’re watching out for me 🥰)
