…but at what cost?

3️⃣ things every Piano Student needs to feel when leaving their lesson:

(1) Capable
(2) Accountable
(3) Invested-In

We can write lesson plans all day long, but NO activity replaces the way we make students feel.

👉🏻 You can say all the “right” things, but your words are useless unless a student feels CAPABLE of accomplishing them. (Let them prove themselves during the lesson, rather than expecting it to happen at home).

👉🏻 Accountability is a HUGE aspect of the lesson experience. Set clear (attainable!) expectations and communicate them well.

👉🏻 Students need to feel invested-in. Show them you care about the person they are. Remember: actions speak louder than words.
